NEW: One Client support for Kyocera in a public cloud setting

Our new embedded version of One Client for Kyocera devices works out of the box in a public cloud environment, no VPN connection required.

As a Kyocera development partner, One Q has taken advantage of the Kyocera SDK to create a new embedded version of One Client for Kyocera devices. Available immediately, this new version replaces the previous web-based Kyocera client.

At a strategic level, One Client for Kyocera has the same user interface and the same familiar functions as our other clients. While designed for the public cloud, it is compatible across all infrastructures (on-premises, private cloud, public cloud, and hybrid cloud). Plus, the focus is on easy applet deployment during the One Q roll-out phase.

The raison d’être behind One Client is to provide a device-independent yet full-featured secure printing platform, regardless of the printer make and model, which makes it particularly attractive to customers with multi-brand fleets. One Client also works directly with One Q’s patented One Driver, which slashes both service time and overall TCO to the bare minimum. Additionally, combining the two One Q components results in a consistent end-to-end experience, from pressing ‘print’ all the way through to collecting documents from MFPs.

We have once again proven our lead in providing a feature-rich yet device-agnostic print management solution for multi-brand fleets. This embedded version offers enhanced power and considerably more control over print processes.

At an operational user level, the new version of One Client for Kyocera offers a seamless One Q look and feel, with the same basic set of around 50 print features and functions. This makes it easy to master the Kyocera applet and to enhance user satisfaction and productivity.

Pre-existing embedded versions of One Client for public clouds include HP Workpath and Ricoh for Android, and we expect to roll-out versions for the remainder of our target MFP families during the first half of 2020 – making One Client available for most brands. Yet another One Q milestone!
